Hi everyone!
Today it's time for a review.
Let me start with the Corinne Michaels books. It's a combination of romance and eroticism. He is a deadly handsome businessman and ex-soldier who always gets what he wants. She's a gorgeous ad agency worker who doesn't believe in love. What can happen when these worlds come together.
Nothing good.
This is the first series that I have read from this author. But not the first of its kind. She is definitely far behind my favorite Laurein Paige, but the emotions she convey in the book are incredible.
But let's go back to the book.
The action begins with memories. Painful memories for the main character - Katarzyna Pope. No wonder that our main character is a handsome man whom he meets by chance. You won't be surprised if I say that he will work with her in the following pages.
My heart was stolen by a wonderful description because I have the same feelings as her. However, this was omitted from the book. The author has focused mainly on one. The main character's monologues about the same appeared all the time. She felt sorry for herself all the time. It was very frustrating.
The plot is interesting, well-described, but far-fetched.
The behavior of both characters is idiotic. She rejects him because ... Well, I don't even know why! Its reasons are vague and forcefully exaggerated. In turn, its reasons are of greater caliber and you can believe them, but we don't get to know them until the middle of the second part.
Exactly the second part - Beholden.
Cat and Jakcson's love story continues. Most of the action takes place in the hospital. The descriptions of her emotions when he almost dies are unusual, but that's it. Nothing happened for more than half. Like any other novel, this novel ended happily.
Sometimes I was fed up. I was reading by force. I lost my enthusiasm. In my case it is not difficult. As a writer, I am often bored with other people's books. I would change something in every story. But about that another time.
Summarizing!
This book has many disadvantages. Especially the Polish translation, which has many shortcomings. However, I recommend the book to anyone who is a fan of romance and eroticism.
See you soon my dreamers
Weronika...
